Daniel is a registered osteopath who enjoys helping people feel empowered through knowledge and movement, so that they can take back control of their bodies and health.
Daniel’s love of osteopathy started at 10 years of age. After a bad elbow fracture, he received treatment from an osteopath that helped him gain acceptance, body awareness, and improve the function of a permanent change in the angle of his elbow.
This sparked a lifelong interest in the body and health. Daniel subsequently went on to study Naturopathy and then Osteopathy at Southern Cross University. During his studies in natural therapies, he completed the equivalent of certificate IV in relaxation and therapeutic massage and worked as massage therapist whilst he completed 5 years of training to become an osteopath.
Daniel’s treatment approach is patient centred and holistic, taking into consideration elements from the mind, body, emotions, and spirit when building an understanding of the people in his care.
During a consult, Daniel seeks to tailor a treatment to the individual and their presentation while also considering their full health history. To achieve this Daniel draws on a range of techniques from movement and gentle articulation, massage, dynamic stretching of muscles and adjustments of joints to more indirect techniques that help switch on the relaxation response.
Outside of the clinic, Daniel is a passionate rock climber and surfer and is committed to helping his clients enjoy the activities they love with increased ease.
